TVXC Race 3 - Reading Roadrunners - Sunday 28th October - Ashenbury Park, Woodley

We are looking forward to welcoming you on 28/10/18, and are using the same venue as last year, with the address Lunds Farm Road, Woodley, RG5 4RX.
The venue is 3 miles from M4 junction 10 and 1.6 miles from the “Wee Waif roundabout on the A4.
Sat Nav might suggest going through Charvil Ford. DO NOT attempt to cross the ford. This is not a shortcut.

Car park:
The car park is at Waingels School , RG5 4RF, and it is a 7 minute walk to the start. Remember to car share. Please note that there will be no car park for runners at Ashenbury Park.

Getting there by bike:
There is no bike rack near the start. It is, however, possible to lock bikes to the fence.

Getting there by bus:
Buses run every hour on Sundays. The 9.30am bus from Reading on the 13 route is a 5 minute walk from the start. You will need to stop at “Lunds Farm Rd”.

Getting there by train:
The nearest train stations are Earley and Twyford, 2.3 and 2.6 miles,respectively, from the start.

Toilets:
They will be in Ashenbury Park car park near the start. Please note that the race HQ and start are in the vicinity of a playground, so refrain from using the bushes; instead use the toilets and urinal provided. There are no changing facilities on site.

Course:
The 5.8 mile course consists of 2 identical laps and a shorter third lap; it is mainly on grass and woodlands, and is suitable for spikes.
It will be marked as follows:
First lap: Start A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R
Second lap: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R
Third lap : A B C D E F G H I J K L M N Finish

The course will be marshalled with a maximum distance of 400 metres between 2 marshal points. Should you get into difficulty, go to your nearest marshal point.
Note that we do not have sole use of the park, please be mindful of other park users.

Once you have crossed the finishing line, collect a finishing token and report to your club rep.

General TVXC rules apply: club vests must be worn. Guests must report to their hosting club. No headphones.

Tea/ coffee & snacks will be available from the catering tent situated in Ashenbury Park car park.
Please BRING YOUR OWN MUG & WATER BOTTLE.

Race HQ:
Team managers & captains, on arrival please report to the RR tent & set-up camp in the dedicated area; after the race return your result sheets to the RR tent.
